Sunset Property Management was established by an owner for owners, so we understand the importance of maintaining the integrity of your property. We know first-hand the myriad of issues involved with owning property abroad and the need to have it looked after when you can’t be there.
We tailor our services to the unique requirements of each client, and designed them to give you complete peace of mind. A truly great relationship can only exist if we have a great working relationship with our client. We therefore work hard to be a trusted long-term property services partner for our homeowners by building relationships based on trust, respect, dependability, and flexibility.
My Story
Almost three decades ago after moving from the United States to Holland, I started a small home renovation business in Amsterdam focusing on delivering quality work and paying attention to detail. In the years that followed, it quickly flourished into a thriving general home contractor business where I did complete custom renovations, additions, and remodeling work for clients in and around Amsterdam.
My customer service background started in Washington D.C., where I studied Hotel Management. Shortly after completion, I worked in some of the finest hotels in Washington DC appreciating, first-hand, the benefits of excellent customer service. This became the focus of my work ethic and a core tenet of my company’s mission.
Many years ago, I purchased an older beautiful villa in Naquera, which became the family’s vacation home as well as a vacation destination rented to clients throughout the year. I updated the house and personally undertook the remodeling of the villa which was over 50 years old. Through this process I became intimately familiar with the municipal and city licensing procedures, and learned a few in and outs along the way. Relationships with local tradesmen and being fluent in Spanish certainly helped tremendously in getting things done!
I enjoyed the climate in Spain so much that I decided to permanently move here with the intention of using my experience in guest services and property renovation to build a similar property management business in Valencia. We started managing properties for homeowners who lived abroad, providing services for visiting guests and giving peace of mind to the owners.
Fast forward and today Sunset Property Management continues to grow and stay true to our original mission to measure success simply by the happiness of our clients.
